Well, it's really quite odd how they've numbered and lettered the trains. The A,C, and E are all one colour and run on the same line through Manhattan for the most part (splitting up in the outer boroughs). But the B and D are a completely different line! The F has more in common with the V than it does with the G, and there is no H or I. There is a J, but it hangs out with M and Z. I could go on but you get the picture.

The Q mostly runs with the N, R, and W. But I like it the best because it's the most reliable, and runs express pretty much all the time.
